The most poetic city of Crete leaves you with a pleasant taste of beauty when you walk through it. Built on the ruins of ancient Kydonia, the city of Chania survived many invaders, and you can see the marks of civilizations whose fingerprints appears on facades of buildings, castles, walls, antiquities, monasteries and churches. The city has two entrances: the airport on Akrotiri peninsula and the harbour of Souda Bay which is the largest natural harbour in the Mediterranean. The culinary heart of Chania is the Market Hall, a remarkable building in crisscross pattern, located in the old town, that was completed in 1913 with the standard analogue of Marseille.

The Venetian harbor, breathtaking any time of the year, is a pole of attraction for visitors and locals, both for its beauty and for the choices of entertainment. The surrounding neighborhoods of the old city “intramurals”, maintain their Venetian Ottoman nobility, the narrow alleys, a labyrinth of winding lanes are surrounded by tasteful renewed houses of various ages, offered for a pleasant walk.
